Jean Skirt Crochet Pattern

Woman smiling wearing the blue crochet skirt and a grey striped shirt.

As soon as I heard about Lion Brand Jeans Yarn, I knew I wanted to design a Jean Skirt Crochet Pattern to make with it! I love wearing skirts, I wear them all the time. This is actually my second crochet skirt design. The first was the Velvet Skirt that was published as a guest post on the E’Claire Makery Blog!

Lion Brand Jeans Yarn is such a beautiful yarn, each color they offer is gorgoeus. I love working with it, it’s by far one of my favorite yarns!

The process of designing took me much longer than expected. I’m a bit of a perfectionist and made, (pulled apart), and remade the skirt 4 times before I was happy with the result! But I’m happy to say that I am very happy with the result and it won’t take you nearly as long to make it as I took to design it! The yarn feels so soft against the skin and it’s such a nice piece to add to your wardrobe and you get to brag that you made it yourself!

Blue crochet skirt

The composition is super easy to follow, you make four identical pieces using the half double crochet stitch. Seam together, I used the whip stitch, but a running stitch can also be used! You can use three colors, or just two or even keep the skirt one color! You can see below the options my testes chose! If you want the skirt longer or shorter you can just add more or less rows to each panel! It’s up to you! 🙂

Five women modelling the skirt in different sizes.
A few of my beautiful testers wearing their skirts!!

Like I said earlier, I’m a perfectionist, so I made sure to have this skirt tested in all the sizes. My testers were awesome to work with and their feedback was very helpful! I also had it tech edited, not once, but twice, so I know this pattern is as close to perfect as it’s going to get! I hope you love it as much as I do!
