Summer Tunic Crochet Pattern

April 29, 2018

The Summer Tunic Crochet Pattern is a great lightweight, kid’s summer top! I used the new Luna Yarn from Premier Yarns and it was perfect for this tunic! It’s a DK weight acryic yarn with so many beautiful colors to choose from. I chose the color Neptune and I love the bright and fun colors… so great for spring and summer!

Category 3 weight + bright colorways = summer yarn perfection! I tell ya, this yarn is what summer crochet dreams are made of. For me, summer is my making season because crocheting cute little tops is my jam. So I’m always looking for a lightweight yarn to work with. If you are too then definitely check out this new self-striping yarn because I’m pretty sure you’re gonna love it.

It’s designed and sized for kids (sizes 6/7, 8/9, 10/12) and is as easy as sewing 2 rectangles together. There’s some fun details in the stitches, but once you get the hang of the pattern repeat it will be easy-peasy.

  1. This summer tunic is awesome!! Is there an easy way (I’m still pretty new to crocheting) to multiply the size to fit an adult? I would need a LG/XL. Thank you for letting me know 🙂

  2. What does this mean?
“Repeat row 2 to row 18 (ending on a row 2 repeat)“
Should it be – repeat row 2-5 ending on row 2 repeat?

  3. I love how cute this is, and easy to follow. However, I’m confused on row 4. It says to sc in each stitch AND ch-space. But if I do that my stitch count increases because there are now 3 stitches for every 2 in the previous row. To keep my stitch count correct I skipped putting a sc in any of the ch spaces. I think it’s an OOPS.

    1. Hi! You will have 1 stitch in each CL (the CL is one stitch, not two) and in each ch space. You should have the same number of stitches. There isn’t any increase 🙂
