The Sea Breeze Scarf is a beautifully textured infinity scarf crochet pattern.
I named this crochet infinity scarf “Sea Breeze” because its texture and colors remind me of the beach when the sea is quiet and flat.
This infinity scarf pattern was first published in Simply Crochet Magazine, and now I can finally share here the infinity scarf pattern with you.

About the Sea Breeze Infinity Scarf Crochet Design
The interesting texture of this crochet infinity scarf is created by combining several different textured crochet stitches, such as front post and back post double crochet and the fun puff stitch.
The Sea Breeze was designed as a textured infinity scarf crochet pattern that will look beautiful both in solid color and multicolor yarn.
The scarf is wrapped twice around the neck and is perfect for a cold winter day, or a chilly fall day when you want that extra warmth.

How Long Should an Infinity Scarf Be?
The standard length of an infinity scarf is usually 50-60 in (127-152cm).
The Sea Breeze infinity scarf is 59in (150cm) in circumference, although you can adjust the length it, make it shorter (maybe make it into a cowl?) or longer, by keeping an even number of chains.
What Type of Yarn Should You Use For a Textured Infinity Scarf Crochet Pattern?
For this crochet infinity scarf, I used the soft and squishy King Cole Cottonsoft Crush DK โ Rhododendron.
This yarn is 100% cotton DK (#3) weight yarn, it is so nice and soft on your skin, and I just love all the different colors (both solids and multi), it was so hard to choose!
You can use any of your favorite DK yarn for this project, both solid and multi-color yarn will result in a lovely textured crochet scarf.
The Sea Breeze Infinity Scarf is featured in FaveCrafts National Craft Month event.
To celebrate the National Craft, March 2023, each day a new craft project will be released. Make sure to visit the event page daily to find each day’s new project!

This is absolutely gorgeous! I cannot wait to find the right yarn and give it a try. I will try and post a photo of it when I finish it. It may be Spring before I get it done, but I will do it.
Thank you Mary, can’t wait to see how your scarf turns out!
This new pattern has me digging through my stash for yarn to start this TONIGHT! Thank you, and a very happy holiday season to you.
I’m happy you’re excited about the pattern, and would love to see your scarf when it’s done!
Can you also use a fingering weight yarn for this pattern? I have 430 yards of 80% Merino wool/20% nylon that I would love to use.
Hi Eva,
If you use Fingering yarn, you should use a smaller hook, and will need to increase the beginning chains to get the correct length, just keep it an even number of chains.
Another option is to use 2 strands together and try and work the pattern as it is.
Will fingering weight yarn work for this pattern? I have 430 yards of 80% Superwash Merino Wool/20% Nylon that I would love to use!
Thanks for sharing for the blog hop. I love the texture this creates. I may try this for a baby blanket.
This is such a great idea! Would love to see it if you give it a try!

I would love if you made a video pattern of this!
Hi Hallie,
Unfortunately I don’t have the time or the resources at the moment to create a video for this pattern.
I suggest taking the pattern very slowly and doing it one row at a time, you can find a lot of helpful videos for each of the stitches in YouTube.

If using Lion Brand Mandala yarn, do I use a H hook, recommended on yarn, or do I need to use an E hook?
Hi Marlys,
You should use the recommended hook for the yarn you are using.
But since it’s a thicker yarn I would suggest making a small swatch and adjusting the number of chains so that you won’t end up with a very wide scarf.
you can adjust the number of chains by keeping an even number.
Thank you Gootie, I love this pattern and you always have such lovely colours too.
Oh, thank you so much! I’m glad you love the pattern and color choice ๐
Many thanks, Agat ๐
Another lovely pattern of yours…
May you receive infinite blessings and I wish you to be safe and sound at the end of this dreadful war time … I strongly hoping it to be as soon as possible.
Love this pattern – works up quickly. Have found that it uses more yarn than pattern specifies. On average 514+ yards/470+ meters using DK with 3.5 hook.
Just finished this scarf and Iโm in love! Thanks Gootie, beautiful pattern.
I am kinda new to crocheting! Am I correct in reading this patternโฆ.is the total yards needs for this project a total of 230yds?
Hi Stacey,
The total amount of yarn needed is 200 gr, so it will be 460yds in total.
But I suggest to get a skein extra, because everyone tension is different so you will have some extra yardage in case you will need it ๐
