As a kid and young adult, my favorite classes in school were, by far, my art classes. My career started in elementary school by proudly winning ribbons on my drawings at the state fair. I took every drawing class possible in high school and developed a very warm appreciation for my teacher.

So I knew I loved to draw. I made the decision to go into Architectural Drafting for that reason. Two long years later (for a girl of 18 with things to do), I received my hard-earned associates degree.

Fast forward a few years: I married, moved across the country, had a few kids, and moved back to the Twin Cities. My drafting degree had begun to collect some dust but my energy for being creative was literally bursting at the seams.

From somewhere deep down in the memory of my youth, I recalled the lessons from my mom in crocheting. I honestly don't know why I decided that this could be my outlet for creativity. But, at any rate, that is what crocheting has become for me.

And I took it to heart. My yarn baskets filled up quickly resulting in scads of booties and bonnets, sweaters and edgings. Not to mention the ideas that were filling my head so much that it about made me spin! And to top it off, I discovered yarn stores. No more do I spend money on shoes. Yarn takes presidence over all. I dream in yarn now. It is my inspiration. That and my kids. Pima cotton, mercerized cotton, merino wool, bamboo, organic cotton, baby alpaca, only natural fibre yarns for me. I love them all.

Somewhere in there my Etsy shop was born. I love what I do and want to share that with you!
