Colorful Fish Coaster FREE Crochet Pattern

• Worsted Weight Yarn. 2 colors: Main Color, Secondary Color.
• 4.5 mm Crochet hook.
• Cushion Stuffing.

Yarn over (Yo), insert hook behind post of stitch (from front to back), yo, pull through, bring up even with last stitch completed, yo, pull through 2 loops, (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through remaining 2 loops to complete stitch.

Start:

With Main Color yarn create a Magic Ring with 8 sc.

Round 1:

2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next 2 sc, 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc (12 sts).

Round 2:

1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, * 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next * repeat 2 more times, 1 sc in next sc (16 sts).

Round 3:

1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next, 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 4 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc (20 sts).

Round 4:

1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next, 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 6 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc (24 sts).

Round 5:

1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next, 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc (28 sts).

Round 6 to 11:

1 sc in each sc (28 sts, 6 rounds in total).

Round 12:

* sc2tog, 1 sc in next 12 sc * repeat one more times (26 sts).

Fasten off.

First, you must flatten the fish.

Eye:

To make the eye, with Secondary yarn, make two stitches "X" shaped. Place it between the round 4th and 5th.

Mouth:

With Secondary yarn make a stitch upward, between rounds 1st and 2nd.

Backstitch:

Now with the same color yarn, do a backstitch around the fish, between rounds 7th and 8th.

Detail:

Now you must make several cross stitches, close to backstitch you've done before. Do 3 stitches in one direction and 3 other perpendicular.
