this piece is also rather a fudge but it works a treat. it’s worked as a spiral, but starts with a chain instead of a loop

row stitches yarn colour
ch 20
1-3 20 black
4-6 24 grey
fold the piece so black is inside then make 2 more sc so that you're in line with the starting chain
7 24 grey: make each stitch through the black starting chain too, bearing in mind the no. of stitches won't match exactly

stuff body and head, join. sew eyes into eye surround. attach to head. embroider pupils (square!). embroider teeth and door (run a guide line of yarn from corner to corner to keep a straightish line on the verticals). attach fingers to arms and arms and legs to body. play!
