About this Pattern

If you’re looking for a truly unique crochet hat, you’re in the right place. This project blends three-stranded colorwork crochet with the traditional Argyle pattern in a hat you can enjoy for years.

With this project you’ll get to expand your colorwork skills from the easier two-stranded to the slightly more involved three-stranded technique. The band is crocheted first in a separate piece worked in rows that mimics a traditional knit ribbing. Then joined at the edges and converted to rounds. Duplicate the Argyle pattern with any contrasting colors of your choice

Before you begin, review this page entirely so you understand the full scope of the project. We prepared a list of recommended supplies, abbreviations, a video tutorial and written instructions to walk you through these crochet gloves step-by-step.

Sure, as long as it’s in the same weight category. Check your gauge and adjust as needed so the sizing comes out right. The recommended yarn amount will likely be different too.
