Crochet Anemone Flower Free Pattern with Moara Crochet

Crochet Anemone Flower | Free Crochet Pattern

This week I am going to be showing you how to make a crochet Anemone flower. Anemones are one of my all time favourite spring flowers. I have actually only ever bought these once in my life, as I was drawn to there wonderful bright contrasting colours. I did not actually know what they were at the time until my Nana told me, but I do know the few days I had these gorgeous flowers I smiled every time I looked at them.

My simple step by step written photo tutorial is below or if you prefer a video tutorial, I have also made a Youtube video.

Materials

  • 75 meters of dk cotton yarn ( or any yarn from your stash)
  • 30 meters Black DK cotton yarn
  • 10 meters of contrasting yarn or white if you are making white Anenome
  • 2.2mm crochet hook
  • Yarn needle
  • Scissors
  • 50cm florist wire
  • Cutting pliers

Gauge: N/A. Use the smallest crochet hook you can with your chosen yarn to create tight stitches, this will help your petals keep the form & not flop.

Size: With my dk yarn & 2.2mm crochet hook my Crochet Anemone flower is 12cm in diameter.

Notes: The petals are worked individually then attached in sets of two. The Stamen & Stigma are made separately then sewn together. The wire will be attached next before the final assembly of all the pieces.
