Definitely didn't find it beginner friendly however after some help I got a grasp of the pattern.

Final product was pretty good. Took me a while to figure out what I was doing wrong with the thumb gussets and ended up somewhat bummed that it's only 1 mitten and my seam was visible on the top of one.
